What are the physical symptoms of High Blood Pressure and Diabetics? It is suggested that walking for an hour a day cures both High B.P as well as Diabetics. Is it true?

High blood pressure Symptoms
High blood pressure usually causes no symptoms.

•Even if high blood pressure does cause symptoms, the symptoms are usually mild and nonspecific (vague, or suggesting many different disorders).

•Thus, high blood pressure often is labeled "the silent killer."

•People who have high blood pressure typically don’t know it until their blood pressure is measured.
Sometimes people with high blood pressure have the following symptoms:
•Headache

•Dizziness

•Blurred vision

•Nausea

Walking will definately lower high blood pressure. Also lowers glucose levels plus a added benefit of lowering Cholesterol.
But Nordic walking is the best.
Description
Nordic walking can be done year round in any climate and anywhere a person of any age or ability might otherwise walk without poles. It combines simplicity and accessibility of walking with simultaneous core and upper body conditioning similar to Nordic skiing. The result is a full-body walking workout that can burn significantly more calories without a change in perceived exertion or having to walk faster, due to the incorporation of many large core, and other upper-body muscles which comprise more than 90% of the body’s total muscle mass and do work against resistance with each stride. ‘Normal walking’ utilizes less than 70% of muscle mass with full impact on the joints of the legs and feet.

Nordic Ski Walking produces up to a 46% increase in energy consumption compared to walking without poles.[1]

Benefits
Compared to regular walking, Nordic walking involves applying force to the poles with each stride. Nordic walkers use more of their entire body (with greater intensity) and receive fitness building stimulation not as present in normal walking for the chest, lats, triceps, biceps, shoulder, abdominals, spinal and other core muscles. This extra muscle involvement leads to enhancements over ordinary walking at equal paces such as:

increased overall strength and endurance in the core muscles and the entire upper body
significant increases in heart rate at a given pace
greater ease in climbing hills
burning more calories than in plain walking
improved balance and stability with use of the poles
significant un-weighting of hip, knee and ankle joints
effective weight bearing exercise - creates positive total body bone density-preserving stress

My Bp went from 150 over 90 to 118/68 Just by Nordic Walking<
Good lluck

An associate of mine of normal weight and blood pressure, got pregnant and developed high blood pressure throughout her pregnancy. The moment she gave birth, the BP went back to normal. The doctor told her she should never get pregnant again. Against his advice, she got pregnant again and the high blood pressure not only came back but it stayed and has been with her since. Still a fairly normal weight, her BP can be normal one day and way the next. Any ideas on what could be causing this? It even has her doctors stumped.

A lot of times high bp is idiopathic, meaning doctors don’t know the cause of it. A lot of women get preeclampsia or high bp during p/g it’s quite common. As to why the high bp stayed with her after p/g there’s no telling. Even just a 10% weight gain can affect bp as well as salt, caffeine ect.. If your friend loses a bit of weight, cuts salt out of her diet and stops any and all caffeine she might see improvement. But otherwise she may just need to take a simple bp med from now on. I myself have high bp and have had it for 6 years and i’m only 28. My weight is a factor and my history as a bulimic affects it too, but even when i was skinny i still had high bp. I just accept it and work to keep it down with medication, diet, exercise, and no salt or caffine. People can live long healthy lives on bp med sif necessary. It’s not a huge life altering crisis..

What if there was a dietary supplement that could help prevent the formation of blood clots in blood vessels, a blood thinner, in other words, that was safe to take long term, came from a completely natural source, and as a side benefit may also lower your blood pressure. Look no further, a natural substance called nattokinase is an enzyme extracted and purified from a Japanese food called Natto. Nattokinase is a potent fibrinolytic enzyme and is safe, and is natural and effective.

The question at hand is could nattokinase break up or remove blocked arteries and veins. Studies have shown by administration of nattokinase in laboratory experiments resulted in the degradation of fibrin in plasma suggesting the transport of nattokinase across the intestinal tract is possible.

After testing over 200 foods for their effects on blood consistency, scientists discovered that nattokinase was highly effective in dissolving artificial fibrin (a protein involved in blood clotting). They were surprised to find that this enzyme, nattokinase, has very strong fibrinolytic activity, stronger than that of plasmin or elastase, in vivo. Nattokinase also has a strong antioxidant effect in the body which may strengthen ones immune response.

Fibrin is a protein involved in the clotting of blood that is polymerised to form a mesh which then forms a hemostatic plug or clot (in conjunction with blood platelets). Fibrin is a whitish, filamentous protein formed by the action of thrombin on fibrinogen and makes up part of coagulum or blood clots. Fibrin is a soluble plasma glycoprotein synthesized by the liver

Clots that form inside a blood vessel in the absence of a wound may restrict the blood flow and lead to heart attack or stroke. The build up of fibrin is then called a blood clot; blood clots slow blood flow and increasing blood viscosity which may lead to elevated blood pressure, heart attack or stroke.

The formation and break down of fibrin is delicately balanced with too little fibrin formation leading to bleeding and to much fibrin formation associated with abnormal blood clot formation and inflammation. The accumulation of excess fibrin in arteries and organs and almost anywhere in the body that inflammation occurs is a normal life process that nobody can avoid.

Experimental and clinical studies show that the specific systemic enzymes work preventively to help the body maintain healthy immune system activity, lower inflammation levels, and support the body’s natural tissue repair processes. Fibrin can build up in our cardiovascular system, in our organs and throughout our muscle tissue causing inflammation, poor circulation, heart disease, and high blood pressure.

Studies show that nattokinase can help promote healthy blood pressure after just two weeks by reducing fibrin formation. Research has produced compelling facts about nattokinase. Scientific studies also have demonstrated that nattokinase starts to safely promote blood circulation within the first two hours after oral administration.

Not just anybody can take Nattokinase; if one already has a blood clotting problem, that person should avoid nattokinase all together due to its ability to thin the blood. Nattokinase holds great promise to support patients with such inherent weaknesses in a convenient and consistent manner, without side effects such as increased bleeding which some prescription drugs may cause.

In conclusion, nattokinase is a all natural substance safe to consume regularly in most individuals. It also enhances the body’s production of both plasmin and other clot-dissolving agents, including urokinase, it can help prevent hardening of arteries, it can thin the blood, and aid in lowering blood pressure with each oral dose administered. What is stopping you from trying it?

I have never had issues of with my blood pressure before - always been good/normal. I started taking Zyrtec a few months ago, and started Flonase about 8 months ago. In the last month or so, my blood pressure has elevated. I am in need of losing additional weight, but I’ve lost weight in the last 2 months and my blood pressure is higher than it’s ever been. Anyone had experience before with increased blood pressure when using zyrtec or flonase?

Since the BP didn’t go up until after you’d been on the meds for months, it’s unlikely that they are the cause. Also, neither is known to raise BP.

Time for a check-up with your doctor. Let him/her know everything you’re taking.

The leading cause of death in the USA are heart diseases. Almost everybody who has a heart disease started with a high blood pressure that evolved and lead to a more severe condition. High blood pressure is called the silent killer by many because it has no symptoms, it can’t be cured by medication or surgery, and in time it can cause heart attacks or other life-threatening complications.

Diet has an extremely important role in lowering blood pressure, especially because it can be one of its causes since the modern diet that contains a lot of fats and junkfood can lead to a high blood pressure in a few years.

If you are an overweight person then try to lose weight by exercising and cutting down the fatty foods. If you lose weight and stop eating fats you will certainly lower your blood pressure in short time.

The main ingredient that can directly affect blood pressure is sodium. Sodium is needed by the body, but the modern day diets contain twice the amount of sodium that should be absorbed by the body from a normal meal. Doubling the levels of sodium from your body can have serious effects on the blood pressure.

In conclusion the idea is to eat food that has low sodium levels and also to eat less fats. Well what aliments that fit the description above do doctors recommend, and what are the food types that we shouldn’t eat?

First of all you should eat less salt. Salt is a rich source of sodium, if fact salt is made up of sodium and chloride, so only salt alone can be enough to fill the entire normal amount of sodium that the body needs daily.

Then you should start eating a lot of fruits, vegetables, and other fiber-rich foods that have the ability to lower the blood pressure. The most effective are grains, green salad, apples, frozen vegetables, low-fat dairy products, nuts, oranges, bananas, and Italian bread.

Doctors advice those who wish to lower their blood pressure to change their daily diet so that it contains eight servings of grain products, four or five servings of vegetables and fruits, three servings of low-fat dairy products, and only 2 servings of meat or fish per day. Sweets, oil or fats should be avoided. This is the standard high blood pressure diet, also called DASH diet. (Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension).

Least but not last, you need to quit alcohol and smoking. You may respect the DASH diet perfectly, but if you still drink and smoke it can be useless, because alcohol and tobacco smoke are the main enemies of low blood pressure.

AS you can see, diet’s role in blood pressure is very important, and many prefer to treat their hypertension without drugs and other medication, just with the help of the diet.

I quit tabacco 2.5 weeks ago. And my blood pressure is still high.

Eat oats, whole grains and more fiber in grains, fresh vegetables to reduce blood pressure

Most of the things that help to reduce blood pressure are what to avoid:
Salt - big no no and huge problem with high blood pressure
stress- try meditation and exercise
sugar - eliminate refined sugars as found in soda, candy, pre-packaged foods
tobacco - good for you, keep going!
alcohol - limit to one drink a day
fried, fatty foods
avoid trans fats
