I’m 32 weeks and I think I have a rather strange pregnancy problem. My blood pressure has always been on the low side (105ish/60ish) but lately is has been VERY low. I’ve been to 3 different drug store blood pressure machines in the past couple of days and each one has read 95ish/45ish. I feel ok, and I’m drinking water and eating regularly. I have an appointment with my midwife in a couple of days and I am going to bring it up to her, but does anyone know anything about low blood pressure? Is it hurting the baby or me?

Usually it’s HIGH blood pressure that is a cause for concern, but you should probably call your midwife tomorrow and tell her about it. Blood pressure is NOT something you mess around with, especially if you are pregnant.

Good luck!

Low blood pressure cant be good. You should call your midwife tonight or your birth center tonight and ask them over the phone. They can talk to you over the phone instead of waiting to see them, cant they? You really should just to be safe. Ive had to do that a couple of times and I felt like I was bugging them but it was worth it to have peace of mind.
