What are the physical symptoms of High Blood Pressure and Diabetics? It is suggested that walking for an hour a day cures both High B.P as well as Diabetics. Is it true?

High Blood Pressure Symptoms
High blood pressure usually causes no symptoms.

•Even if high blood pressure does cause symptoms, the symptoms are usually mild and nonspecific (vague, or suggesting many different disorders).

•Thus, high blood pressure often is labeled "the silent killer."

•People who have high blood pressure typically don’t know it until their blood pressure is measured.
Sometimes people with high blood pressure have the following symptoms:
•Headache

•Dizziness

•Blurred vision

•Nausea

Walking will definately lower high blood pressure. Also lowers glucose levels plus a added benefit of lowering Cholesterol.
But Nordic walking is the best.
Description
Nordic walking can be done year round in any climate and anywhere a person of any age or ability might otherwise walk without poles. It combines simplicity and accessibility of walking with simultaneous core and upper body conditioning similar to Nordic skiing. The result is a full-body walking workout that can burn significantly more calories without a change in perceived exertion or having to walk faster, due to the incorporation of many large core, and other upper-body muscles which comprise more than 90% of the body’s total muscle mass and do work against resistance with each stride. ‘Normal walking’ utilizes less than 70% of muscle mass with full impact on the joints of the legs and feet.

Nordic Ski Walking produces up to a 46% increase in energy consumption compared to walking without poles.[1]

Benefits
Compared to regular walking, Nordic walking involves applying force to the poles with each stride. Nordic walkers use more of their entire body (with greater intensity) and receive fitness building stimulation not as present in normal walking for the chest, lats, triceps, biceps, shoulder, abdominals, spinal and other core muscles. This extra muscle involvement leads to enhancements over ordinary walking at equal paces such as:

increased overall strength and endurance in the core muscles and the entire upper body
significant increases in heart rate at a given pace
greater ease in climbing hills
burning more calories than in plain walking
improved balance and stability with use of the poles
significant un-weighting of hip, knee and ankle joints
effective weight bearing exercise - creates positive total body bone density-preserving stress
I use plain old wooden sticks, works well>
Kewl!
My Bp went from 150 over 90 to 118/68 Just by Nordic Walking<

excessive thirst, headaches, dizziness, blurred vision or change in vision, frequent urination, constant feeling of hunger even after you have already eaten , and sometimes unexplained weight gain. Unfortunately, modern science has not found a cure for diabetes. High BP can go down by exercising daily. And walking is a great way to start off your daily routine. You must have a nutritious diet. Sodas, chips, fried foods are not good foods and can possibly spike your blood pressure up. And stay away from all the salty foods. Eat healthier and exercise daily. Hope I was of help.

BP is also known as silent killer. The reason is that there is no specific symptoms of BP ( hypertension). The symptoms are either mild or non specific and one does not know that he has an abnormal BP till his BP is checked, and continuous readings confirm it. Diabetes on the other hand has specific symptoms, such as increased hunger, thirst for water, poor wound healing, easy dehydration, fatigue, tired and uneasy feeling, blurred vision etc.
While walking is necessary in both conditions to maintain cardiac and general health, but once one has these two conditions, he has to be under treatment for both and regular visits and periodicals checks are absolutely necessary.

Walking for an hour a day will help control both high blood pressure and diabetes, but there IS no cure for diabetes. Diabetes can be controlled, but not cured.

I don’t think there’s a cure for high blood pressure, either, but I’m not so certain of that. Many people have high blood pressure and don’t have any symptoms, other than the reading from the machine.
